Requiring a boarding pass to enter.
Airlines typically do not give out passport two hours prior to flight.
Sometime, you can get a boarding pass from the automated check-in terminal (if you don't have baggage)

Airport shuttles - service between terminals. See the terminal map layout (strange), and the terminal concourse numbering systems.

MRT -Getting out the airport - use the North East (green lines). The automatic ticket dispenser doesn't take bill larger than 5
MRT - the single use thicket, cann't be recharged.
MRT - Nice and cool place to "chill out and rest", if you can find a seat
Current exchange -
The airport service is great. The difference in exchange rate doesn't justify the trouble of going to China town, or little India for money exchange.
The "bills" - paper money - is actually plastic. Handling the thin plastic currency takes a while to get used to
What to wear - bring small wash towels that can absorb/wipe-off sweats
